This years Wood Badge Course is being held at Camp Arcola just south of Anaconda. The exact dates are July 12 thru July 17, 2010. Wood Badge is the highest leadership training in the Boy Scouts of America for both volunteers and professionals. It is an awesome course on real leadership.

In order to conduct a Wood Badge Course there has to be a minimum of 32 participants signed up and we are far from that goal. The deadline for this years course is mid April. There is an extreme amount of effort and work on part of the staff to prepare for the course. It takes a least a year of preparation and staff training to have a dynamic course.

Please talk to all of your leaders and committee members to see if they would be interested in attending this years course. It is six days long and is a great commitment on behalf of the participant and their family, but they will not be disappointed. If they are interested they need to fill out an application and send it in to the Montana Council right away. Time is critical for us to make sure this course is successful for 2010.
